Our art peices are all one of a kind.  We don't use any molds.  First Al throws the piece on the wheel.  Once it's leather hard (still pliable), Jeni carves, cuts out and sculpts.  Sometimes she'll do some slip trailing to create texture.  After the piece is cleaned it's put in a kiln and bisque fired.  Next it is glazed using under and over glazes.  There is alot of mixing and overlapping of colors to create depth.  Last step, firing in the kiln one more time.
